Subject: Albuquerque - Winners!

We had more Persians cats and kittens try the course last weekend than I can
remember before. Some showed interest. The winners, however, were a Bengal
and Ocicat.

CAT
Basic Course
1st Place -- Ciniron, a Bengal (the Kitten world record holder,
who is an adult now), handled by Junior Handler Seth Flagel, 20:16, 1 fault

KITTEN
1st Place -- Embers, an Ocicat, owned/handled by Alex Chisholm,
2:14:47, 1 fault

JR. HANDLER
1st Place -- Seth Flagel, handling Ciniron, 20:16, 1 fault

Congratulations to the winners, and to the others cats and kittens who had a lot of fun on the course even if they strayed from sequence a bit and just ran around, as several of them did!

We only did timed runs on Sunday because nobody was over there on Saturday (we were all judging, running cats, or clerking) so we only had a few cats competing.

Fee Fee the Ragdoll kitten would have been a good one to time, I saw her briefly when she was happily zipping around the course. And Tadpole the household pet kitten made several clean runs in practice both days but was worn out by Sunday afternoon. We'll score them at the next show, for sure.

By the way, I've discovered a new way to fall asleep quickly -- visualizing Ciniron going around the course, through hoops and jumping over hurdles ... it is much more relaxing than counting sheep going over fence, I drift off to sleep right away. Or Packer on the home stretch of the Advanced course, leaping table, table, hoop, no touchdowns on the mats.

Blissful zzzz's to you all,

Vickie
